Training

Jizzelle believes if you're passionate in any art form, it is important to always keep learning to grow and be the dancer you want to be. She was introduced to Oriental Dance and trained as a teen by her wonderful friend, Joelle Spallaso, an Italian Oriental Dancer who was assistant to Wael Mansour, an international master teacher and performer living in Milan. Joelle trained Jizzelle on everything there is to know to become an Oriental Dancer and worked on technique, choreography, stage presence, knowledge, and what it means to be an artist. Jizzelle then met her mentor and now best friend, Richard Nedjat, who also introduced her to Iraqi dance (Kawliya) and helped her with musicality, feeling, learning about the Arabic culture, and more. She has also trained with many Egyptian, Lebanese and International star artists such as Randa Kamel, Jillina Carlano, Tito Seif, Camelia of Cairo, Khaled Mahmoud, Soraia Zaied, Mohammed Shahin, Aziza of Cairo, Osama Emam, Mercedes Nieto, Aida Nour, Amani of Lebanon, Sami Khoury, Yael Zarca, Leila Farid, Asi Haskal, Ahmed Hussein, and many more! In Southern California, Jizzelle is grateful for her teachers and mentors who taught her as a child and are still part of her dance life. These wonderful artists are Sabrina, Fahtiem, Kamala Almanzar, Lucia Herlinda and Jillina for taking the time to help her grow as a dancer and for believing in Jizzelle. Still today, Jizzelle continues to train and take private lessons to help her stay motivated and be a better dancer each time. Jizzelle enjoys to challenge and push herself to show others that anything is possible if you work hard and put all your heart into your work. As William Shakespeare once said, "Imagination is everything, it is the preview of life's coming attractions."
